Drug Information Centers (DIC)

Access to medical information by health care team is facing some problems:

1- Getting information from textbooks is time consuming and textbooks themselves are expensive and may be outdated.
2- Most free websites are not credible
3- Information about drugs from pharmaceutical companies may be biased.

And thus the demand for rapid, credible and accurate drug information increased.

This can be achieved by:

Establishing drug information library at CAPA as pilot model for hospitals supplied by updated textbooks, online-subscription to credible websites (e.g. lexi comp) and well trained pharmacists to respond promptly to drug-related inquiries.
